Cloud, AI and the Team in Between

A working day, not a lecture programme

Having a cloud strategy doesn’t mean you have a team that can carry it. On this day we work on both together: technology and leadership in the same conversations.

What it’s about

One line from a conversation with a CIO has stayed with us: “No Cloud = no AI.” For many companies, AI is what’s prompting them to rethink their IT right now. But a new operating model also changes roles, responsibilities and the way decisions get made. Who runs it afterwards? What goes away? Who decides when in doubt? That rarely gets settled as a side project.

On this day we look at two things: What does the change mean for your organisation, technically and organisationally? And what next steps will you take home?

Two tracks: tech and leadership

The day has two tracks. The tech track covers cloud, operating models and the role AI plays in them. The leadership track covers how roles, responsibility and collaboration shift during the change. In the morning, everyone is in the room together. In the Open Space, you decide where to contribute, and you can switch between tracks.

How the day works

Two short talks.

samcloud opens the tech track, leadarise opens the leadership track. Each talk is 20 minutes max.

Fishbowl.

The speakers from both companies then sit in an inner circle with one empty chair. Anyone who wants to contribute takes the chair and joins in. Two talks become a conversation with the whole room.

Open Space.

The rest of the day is yours. You bring your own topics and cases, pitch them briefly at the marketplace, and that becomes the agenda. If a round no longer gives you anything, or you have nothing to add, move to another one. That’s explicitly encouraged.

• expect a product presentation

Why a contribution to costs

We care about good conversations on this day. That takes a setting where you’re happy to spend a whole day, and venue and catering cost money. The contribution covers part of it; samcloud and leadarise cover the rest. We don’t make any money from this day. The contribution makes sure the limited seats go to people who actually come.

Our ground rule: No selling on stage. Talks and sessions deliver substance, not product demos.

Taking part

To make an open exchange among peers possible, we curate the group of guests deliberately. You take part after registering (below) and a short review by us. Once you’re confirmed, you’ll receive an invoice for the contribution to costs. Your seat is secured once it’s paid.
